Kennington Hall shoot
So, with the website rebuild well underway, it was time for me to turn my focus (did you see what i did there?) onto making my creations look their very best which could only mean one thing, a professional photoshoot, cue the fabulous Kate Hennessey. Kate and I go way back to school days and she has always been there to help me make my handmade goodies look amazing, her soft and dreamy style of wedding and portrait imagery was perfect for the look I was trying to achieve so it was a no brainer to ask her to get involved.
Following hot on Kate's heals was the lovely Lucy-Jayne, an aspiring talent who Kate has taken under her wing to show the ropes, Lucy-Jane came along to see what goes on at a shoot and gain some experience.
Always on hand with the most amazing selection of dresses was my good friend Jenni from Country Brides of Faversham, Jenni runs their Dover store and is incredibly knowledgeable within the wedding industry, what she doesn't know about dressing brides and dress designers simply isn't worth knowing!
Next we needed models, I spoke to the absolutely gorgeous Faye (aurorasilk) from Athena Fitness aerial studio and she very kindly offered to get glammed up to help us out, along with some of her student Leah, Rachel and Victoria. We were incredibly lucky to be joined by fellow student Esha Perry who is training in Bridal beauty and hair design so she assisted with the girls hair and finishing make up touches to ensure that they were comfortable and confident infront of the camera.
Lastly but most importantly we required a beautiful location, after sending out several pleas on social media we were very kindly offered the use of the stunning Kennington Hall in Ashford. Kennington Hall is an imposing, 3 storey, red brick 18th century manorhouse with a grade 2 listing which was absolutely perfect as it boast lost or original period features as well as a variety of different landscaped areas outside.
We had an incredibly productive day as well as lots of fun, I really can't thank everyone who was involved enough.
Here are a few of my favourite shots from the day.
